[two_third] Jordi has a passion for music having started his career when he was 17 years old as a DJ and sound technician in a radio station in Catalonia. He continues to DJ and work as a music selector whenever he can, something that gives him a great deal of pleasure and occupies a good part of his ‘leisure’ time.

Over the last few years, he has sought to combine this passion with his skills as a video editor and director by working on projects that have music and musicians as their main theme. In 2012 he started collaborating with a leading French production company, Les Films Jack Febus that manages an extensive catalogue of musical and other cultural programmes broadcast by well known TV channels from around the world such as Arte, Mezzo and European cable TV network, Canal Plus, among others.

Please see below a selection of Jordi’s music videos.

Rumba Para Bebo

In March 2013, the Cuban pianist and composer Bebo Valdés died in Stockholm. A regular of the legendary Tropicana Club in Havana, Bebo won seven Grammy Awards throughout his life, which spanned almost a century, enjoying a revival towards the end of his career thanks to a series of collaborations with younger musicians, including his own son, Chucho Valdés.

Jordi edited this short film, which is a trailer for a concert film currently under production, documenting the Bebo Valdés tribute concert that took place at the Barcelona International Jazz Festival in October 2013.

Les Contes d´Hoffmann

Les Contes d’Hoffmann (Paris, 1881) is Jacques Offenbach’s masterful contribution to French Romanticism reflecting the composer’s desire to go beyond his successful operettas and enter the world of grand opera. It is a highly inspired work in five acts in which fantasy, emotion and the supernatural blend smoothly with satire and the grotesque.

Jordi worked in the shooting of this opera at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona which was broadcast by Mezzo TV. He also collaborated in DVD version of the same show.
